Today, when I got up to weigh. I was excited to find I was down to 202! I lost another 2 ¾ while on the orange juice day of the master cleanse diet!
No more spicy lemonade diet for me for a while. Some people drink it often after the master cleanse diet. I do drink it occasionally when on a long bike ride instead of water for added energy.
I mowed the lawn today while still drinking only orange juice. After I finished, I started my vegetable soup.
Here are the ingredients I used:
9 cups of water
1 tbs of Sea Salt
3 tbs of Italian Seasoning
6 organic carrots peeled and sliced into thick coins
4 red potatoes quartered
1 lb of lima beans (they were dry beans that had sat in water for 24 hours)
1lb of cranberry beans (again dry soaked yada yada)
1 pint of snow peas
1 pint of grean beans
1 pint of Okra
I put the potatoes, carrots, salt, Italian seasoning, and beans in first and brought them to a boil over medium heat in a large enameled cast iron dutch oven. I then let them simmer for over an hour. I made a bowl of soup and had a carrot first. Absolute perfection. My wife had some at this point as well. She promptly took out the salt shaker and jacked up her sodium level.
I then added the rest of the ingredients and brought back to a boil for about 20 minutes. I have never tasted such a fantastic soup as this. I actually felt as if I had a margarita. My head was buzzing from the soup!
I will hit my goal. It may be tomorrow or the next day or in 2 weeks. I will hit it though. I will be out of the terrible 2’s and get down to 199 lbs.
I will be doing a mostly vegetarian diet by choice, as I have found this to be both delicious and healthy. This is one the reasons I have been able to keep the weight off for the last 6 months.
I still eat junk. But I also exercise. The junk I eat I limit. I try to only eat meat once a week when I am eating meat and I anticipate 4-6 weeks of being meat free. We are going on a vacation / business / kids birthday trip at the end of March. I will probably eat some meat then.
Our kids stick to a mostly vegetarian lifestyle. They are extremely smart. Fact: Both boys tested in the 98th percentile on their gifted exams. They eat and eat and eat mostly healthy food and they have an abundance of energy. Our children are lean, healthy and smart. We are teaching them proper nutrition and regular exercise habits to make it a part of their daily rituals when they are older.
You can change your habits today. Sometimes you need a kick start to get your mind reset. The master cleanse diet will do that and more for you.
